Cheap international calls: India launch for Nissan car

Nissan is set to join the Indian car market with a launch of a new small car.
The company has announced it will sell its first small car in India from July as it looks to capitalise on the popularity of compact hatchbacks among the growing Indian middle class.
Nissan also revealed plans to develop its operation in India into a global manufacturing hub, with the intention to start exporting cars from the country later this year.
Kiminobu Tokuyama, managing director of Nissan Motors India, told Dow Jones Newswires that the Indian market is behind only Russia and China in terms of its importance to the company.
In another boost for the Indian motoring sector, Volvo has revealed plans to launch two cars in the country over the next 12 months.
The carmaker plans to start selling a new sport utility vehicle called the XC60 within the first half of the year, before introducing the S60 sedan by early-2011 at the latest.
