David Cameron bans cabinet meeting mobile conversations

Ministers will no longer be able to sneak off to make cheap international calls during cabinet meetings under David Cameron's government.
The new prime minister has banned mobile phones from the cabinet table to ensure that ministers are not distracted from discussions.
This new strategy was brought rather pointedly home to the veteran Tory MP and new justice secretary Ken Clarke, whose call Mr Cameron asked to be cut short to begin the business of running the country.
Although this caused laughter at the time, the message is a serious one, with Mr Cameron keen to ensure that phone calls do not take priority over the running of the country.
According to the Daily Express, the new PM will also be sticking with the Labour tradition of having cabinet meetings held in different regions of the country.
He told the newspaper: "The idea of moving the meetings around was a good thing and I think we should try to continue that to recognise we're the Government for the whole United Kingdom."
