iPhone users making growing use of App Store

Three-quarters of iPhone users connect to the web to download content, according to new research, in addition to making cheap international calls.
This compares to just under a fifth of users of game consoles (19 per cent) and 17 per cent of Blu-ray Disc users, the NPD Group survey reveals.
Some 16 per cent of Americans age 13 years-old or more are downloading content onto their Apple smartphone device, with the most active users tending to be young males.
Commenting on the emerging trend, entertainment industry analyst for NPD Russ Crupnick said: "Like other groups of early adopters, consumers downloading entertainment content are mostly younger and male.
"However, as app stores expand beyond Apple, as connected devices become more commonplace and as connectivity is simplified we expect to see more activity on other devices and platforms."
Earlier this month, founder of ConceptMobiles.com Ludwig Makhyan explained that Apple could have done a much better job with the new iPhone, with nothing surprising having emerged from developers as of yet.
