Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar has been crowned as the new Miss World at a glittering ceremony in South Africa.
The 23-year-old brunette appeared speechless as the award was announced at the two-hour pageant.
"I have no words," the administrator responded. "I am really happy."
Millions of people around the world watched the event on television, with host country South Africa cheering on its representative Tatum Keshwar, who finished as second runner-up.
England's representative Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge - dubbed Combat Barbie - led international calls to congratulate Ms Aldorino's victory, describing her as "a real natural beauty".
Meanwhile, football fans hoping to travel to South Africa for next year's football World Cup have been advised by DialAFlight to book their flights and accommodation well in advance in order to avoid disappointment.
