Cheap international calls: UAE-Italy flights extended

International travellers based in the United Arab Emirates may be pleased to note that regular additional flights to Italy have been launched.
As of February 1st, the airline Emirates is operating two daily flights from Dubai to Rome, in addition to double daily flights to Milan and one daily service into Venice.
The development means that international passengers travelling between Dubai and Rome will now have the choice of a morning and afternoon flight, seven days a week.
Flight EK097 departs Dubai at 09:25 local time and arrives in Rome's Fiumicino Airport at 12:45, with EK095 taking off from Dubai at 15:05 and touching down at Fiumicino Airport at 18:35.
"Rome is a powerful tourism magnet with historical gems such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. But it is also an important business centre, so we're confident the extra flight will be a success," said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' senior vice-president of commercial operations in Europe and the Russian Federation.
Emirates flew its first routes out of Dubai with just two aircraft in 1985 and since then has grown to become one of the world's major international airlines.
