Google's Nexus One 'could revolutionise the phone market'

Google is more than capable of bringing out a smartphone that will revolutionise the mobile market, it has been claimed.
However, there are suspicions that the search engine giant does not have a genuine interest in breaking into the mobile market too.
The editor of industry magazine Mobile, James Atkinson, said he suspected that the launch is less about the phone and more about boosting ad revenues.
He explained: "It's all about getting you to look at more ads. That's their end-game.
"[But] who knows with Google? They always have that ability to suddenly change direction and come up with a surprise."
Stock analysis firm Trefis recently forecast that Google will be able to sell an estimated five million of its Nexus One handsets in 2010, due to demand for the devices for cheap calls and internet access globally.
However, T-Mobile network problems in the US are thought to have contributed to poor initial sales of the device.
