Black History Month is being celebrated at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with a series of events.
International passengers who travel through the airport this month will be able to experience African-American art and music as well as learn about the contributions of black people to aviation.
"Hartsfield-Jackson honours and appreciates the role of African-Americans in aviation and culture, and we are happy to share and celebrate with the community," said aviation general manager Ben DeCosta.
A live musical performance will take place in the Atrium every Wednesday evening during the month of February, with Cherisse Stephens getting the ball rolling on February 3rd and Yusef Sharif the next performer on February 10th.
Eldridge Simms will take to the floor on February 17th, while international travellers passing through the airport on February 24th will be able to see a live performance by Beverley "Guitar" Watkins.
Hartsfield-Jackson claims to be the world's busiest airport, serving more than 90 million passengers each year with direct services to more than 90 international destinations across 55 countries.
