Bike dynamo to charge Nokia handsets

Mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has launched a brand new environment-friendly way of charging its handsets.
The Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit will allow cellular phone users to charge their handsets while bicycling to and from work or around the city.
Alex Lambeek, vice president at Nokia, said: "You must look at a number of things when it comes to power management, such as ensuring that the phone's operating system is as power-efficient as possible."
He added that the bike charger will give Nokia customers even more freedom of movement while using their mobile phones as they did not have to worry about battery life.
The bicycle dynamo charging device has been geared towards the client base in developing countries, where people may not have regular or stable access to electricity and would benefit from alternative ways of charging their mobile handsets.
