Brits making cheap international calls about more flexible holidays?

Brits are shunning the traditional two week getaway in favour of a shorter trip, research has shown, possibly indicating fewer cheap international calls are being made back to the UK from popular destinations such as the UAE.
Research by EasyJet revealed that the perfect holiday length for Brits is 11 nights - a change from the traditional one or two week vacations usually opted for.
According to the travel company, some 55 per cent of searches on its site were from customers seeking flexible holidays lasting longer than seven nights but not as long as the typical two weeks.
Top reasons for deviating from the traditional two week holiday included missing home comforts, worry over the holiday budget, worries about work and missing friends, family and pets.
Those heading abroad may opt for pre-paid travel cards as a safer option than carrying cash around.
According to David Bain, spokesperson for FairFX, this payment method is not only safer, but locks in the current exchange rates meaning many holidaymakers could get a better deal.
