Nigeria city hit by round of explosions

Cheap calls to Nigeria could be prevalent today, after a fresh round of explosions and gunfire struck the city of Damaturu.
The conflict is thought to have resulted from authorities battling suspected members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram.
This follows a day of unrest which killed a total of six people and left many civilians injured.
Trucks of soldiers arrived in Damaturu this morning and residents were given 30 minutes to evacuate the neighbourhood of Pompomari, before a battle ensued between the two groups.
Lawan Tanko, police commissioner for the north-eastern state of Yobe, told the Associated Press: "Our men have been making attempts to go into the house they have been using as a hideout to defuse explosives, but they are facing some resistance from the Boko Haram elements who are detonating explosives and firing shots."
