Travelling 'helps people realise what they want to do in life'

Travelling can offer people clarity on what they want to do with their lives, meaning gap year students making cheap international calls from countries such as Nigeria could benefit from their trip in the future.
Stuart Rees Jones, founder and chief executive officer of Camp International, said that travelling "completely broadens your horizons".
"It gives you an insight into different ways of life, you meet different people in different parts of the country and different parts of the world, you just start to see differently and think differently," he continued.
The expert said that this broadening of horizons often leads to some clarity as to what it is the individual wants from life.
To know what you want to do straight from school or university is not an easy task, noted Mr Rees Jones, and travelling can help with these important life decisions.
These comments follow a survey conducted by Real Gap Experience which found that almost 61 per cent of employers of young graduates believe that travel demonstrates the job applicant's ability to act independently.
