Poland reopens Auschwitz investigation

Poland has reopened an investigation into crimes committed at Auschwitz and its satellite camps during World War II.
The new investigation, which is sure to lead to cheap international calls, has been opened up with the sole aim to track down any Nazi war criminals still alive.
It will be opened by the Institute of National Remembrance, which is a state body that investigates Nazi and communist-era crimes.
Investigations were initially launched in the 1960s and 70s, but closed in the 1980s without any indictments being made.
Leaders of the new campaign have yet to confirm which camps will be investigated, however it is believed that it will centre on Auschwitz.
It is estimated that around one million people were killed at the Nazi death camp Auschwitz.
