Poland 'will take Russian threats seriously'

Russian plans to install a missile base near to the border of Poland will be taken as a "serious threat", the country's foreign minister has said.
Cheap calls to Poland may be made following the news, with minister Radoslaw Sikorski suggesting that there are fears of an arms race escalating if Russia goes ahead with its defence system in Kaliningrad.
According to thenews.pl, Russia is planning to continue with its missile installation so long as the US carries on creating weapons on Polish soil.
Speaking about the perceived threat from Russia, Mr Sikorski said: "We thought that that way of thinking was behind us. Poland is the last country that wants a return to the arms race."
However, the minister has signed a cross-border travel agreement with Russia, which will facilitate an increase in visa-free travel opportunities between border areas, helping to transfer skills and business investment.
