Best of Abu Dhabi comes to Ireland

There will no doubt be many cheap international calls were made between the UAE and Ireland as the Abu Dhabi Irish Guineas Festival brought the best of the emirate to the emerald isle.
UAE cultural traditions including falconry, henna design and calligraphy will be on show at the main tented Arabian Village, created by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).
Saturday's Abu Dhabi Irish 2000 Guineas and Sunday's President of the UAE cup were the main features, showcasing international purebred Arabian horses.
Angela Bates, ADTA's Trade/MICE promotion senior executive said: "People were telling us the emirate is high on their travel wish-lists, because they want to see attractions such as Ferrari World, Yas Marina and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The Curragh became our home away from home for a day and we loved it."
Many travellers may head to Abu Dhabi, after Lawrence Franklin, strategy & policy director at the ADTA said that the cosmopolitan city is a great destination for travellers hoping to indulge in a spot of retail therapy.
