Nigeria have qualified for the quarter-final of the Fifa Under-17 World Cup .
The hosts are now the only African team left in the competition, having stormed into the last eight with a convincing 5-0 win over New Zealand in Abuja.
Edafe Egbede and Sani Emmanuel scored two goals each, with Stanley Okoro completing the rout with a well-taken finish after an error from opposing goalkeeper Coey Turipa.
Nigeria's Golden Eaglets now face South Korea in the quarter-final, after the Asian side edged through on penalties against a determined Mexico.
Spain are up against Uruguay in another quarter-final, while Colombia and Switzerland will face each other at the semi-final stage having already booked their places with wins against Turkey and Italy respectively.
The Golden Eaglets have won the Fifa Under-17 World Cup three times, most recently in 2007, so they will be hoping to carry that impressive form through the remainder of this year's tournament.
