London attractions draw more visitors

The number of visitors making their way to London attractions has grown by a significant number, according to latest findings.
Without doubt many of these travellers must have used their mobile phones to make cheap international calls to share their experiences with family members back home.
In June 2010, visitors to London attractions had grown by 6.3 per cent in comparison to the same period the year before. The figures are the highest recorded since September 2009, according to the Visit London Attraction monitor.
Sally Chatterjee, chief executive officer of Visit London, said: "The recent Attraction Monitor figures show that London remains a popular choice for holiday makers and the strong performance of our paid-for attractions in particular shows that London's offering continues to drive visitors to the capital."
The paid-for attractions in London saw a 40 per cent increase in business with a large number of visitors turning up at these spots.
Smaller and more niche attractions also saw a rise in the number of visitors, registering a 21.6 per cent increase.
