Polish military prosecutor shoots himself in head

Cheap calls to Poland will be frequent today after a military prosecutor shot himself in the head on January 9th.
Colonel Mikolaj Przybyl was defending the work of his office and rejecting planned reforms, and read a statement to reporters before asking them to briefly leave the court room.
The cameras of TVN24 were left rolling and followed Przybyl walking out of his office and out of sight before a gunshot was heard.
According to hospital staff he is currently in a stable condition and is conscious, however has facial injuries.
Przybyl is the deputy head of the prosecutor's office in the city of Poznan and is also the head of a department investigating organised crime within the military.
Media commentators and lawmakers are calling for a parliamentary probe into his current case, as his previous statement and subsequent actions alluded to a serious corruption problem in the army.
