Mobile phone users struggle to understand contracts, says expert

Mobile phone contracts are both difficult to compare as well as understand, claimed an expert.
Flora Graham, mobile phones editor at CNET UK, pointed out that bills for mobile phones vary from month to month depending on usage and are generally not ideal when trying to comprehend one's phone use.
Commenting on customers trying to compare mobile phone contracts, she said: "Once you want to compare contracts you have to think that some have different lengths, some include unlimited internet, some have different types of limits put on them. I think people tend to overestimate [their tariff]."
Ms Graham added that people mostly end up paying more for their mobile phones owing to an incorrect estimation of how much talk time they really need.
Her comments follow a recent survey conducted by Top10.com which found that 42 per cent of mobile users in Britain are not sure of what their phone contract entails.
