Attending the World Cup in South Africa this year will be the "trip of a lifetime" for many supporters, it is believed.
That's because the prices being quoted for attending the tournament are likely to be beyond the reach of many England fans, according to Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet.
Match tickets and flights will be the greatest costs, he continued, given that living costs in South Africa can be manageable especially if visitors opt for self-catering or camping.
He also pointed out that there may be a feeling among supporters to wait until the second stage of the tournament, given that England are considered to have been given a favourable draw in the first round.
"By that time tickets and hotels may have abated in terms of pressure a little bit, allowing some good deals to be found," he explained.
Figures from Virgin Money suggest that a World Cup win will cost England fans £320 million, with supporters spending up to £6,399 each if their team go all the way to the final.
