Mobile users 'need not spend lots on new gadgets'

A good, cheap international call service or internet browsing interface for a mobile phone need not cost lots of money, it has been claimed.
Fraser MacDonald, editor of online gadget website Stuff, explained that many consumers do not realise that they can get much more from the gadgets that they already have.
He was commenting following the publication of research from Sky HD, which suggested that Brits were sitting on an estimated £52 billion worth of gadgets that they do not know how to use.
This has left the equivalent of £1,977 worth of gadgets' hi-tech features unused.
Mr Macdonald added: "People should just have fun and buy the gadgets that they like the look of, but a little bit of reading around will reveal there is something they can use as well."
He also noted that there is a lot of scope for buying many gadgets that can be found on the high street online.
