Travellers soon to be making international phone calls can make the most of four new aircraft at Qatar Airways.
The Doha-based airline now has two new Boeing 777-200 Long Range aircraft and two Airbus A320s, taking its fleet to 76 aircraft.
And it plans to take delivery of more than one new aircraft a month in the coming years in order to maintain a "young and modern portfolio of planes".
During 2009 it has received 11 new aircraft, launched four new routes and set up a corporate jet subsidiary called Qatar Executive.
"We at Qatar Airways, recognise the need to remain at the forefront of the aviation industry by flying modern aircraft and offer the best levels of comfort and inflight amenities," said Qatar Airqays chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker.
The Boeings will be used on routes to Melbourne and the Far East, while passengers flying between Doha and the Middle East, Europe and South Asia could find themselves on board one of the new Airbus A320s.
