UAE sees spike in tourism

The UAE has seen a rise in the number of tourists visiting the country after hotel prices were slashed, it has been claimed.
According to cheapflights.co.uk, hotels in the Emirates have reduced their tariffs by more than half, prompting more visitors to flock to the region.
Nadine Hallak, a spokesperson for the website, pointed out Abu Dhabi had benefited from the release of the Sex and the City II movie, as well as from the launch of the Formula One.
Tourists no doubt reach for their phones to make cheap international calls as they enjoys the sights and sounds of the Middle East.
Her comments follow in the wake of recent findings released by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, which confirmed that the number of tourists staying in the city had increased by 16 per cent in July, in comparison to the same period in the previous year.
