Young people 'the biggest losers in the recession'

Younger age groups have "unambiguously" been the biggest victims of the current recession, an expert believes.
"Those lucky graduates who can get into their desired sectors are to be congratulated," said Thomas Usher, research fellow at the Institute for Employment Studies.
Others will have to put their plans on hold, he suggested, or even "alter their ambitions" as a result of the downturn.
"It's important in these cases to keep adding to your CV," Mr Usher added.
According to the latest jobs figures from the Office for National Statistics, the unemployment rate for the three months to May was 7.6 per cent, representing a rise of 0.9 per cent on the previous quarter.
