Brits 'embarrassed' of pre-holiday beauty measures

Brits may be reluctant to discuss their pre-holiday beauty regimes in cheap international calls from destinations such as Ghana, with one expert maintaining that people are embarrassed about the lengths they go to in order to look good.
Tricia Welch, beauty journalist, said that the older demographic is unsure as to whether spending money on pre-vacation beauty treatments is self-indulgent and as such are reluctant to admit to treatments they have undergone.
"British people have always been the kind of people who will spend money on their homes, their gardens, but the idea of spending money on yourself is a little bit of a vanity thing. But I think times are changing," explained the expert.
However, Ms Welch continued that the younger generation does not share this view, thanks to soap operas which put forth the ideal of spending time looking good.
Meanwhile, according to shower firm Mira Showers, many Brits are indulging in secret beauty treatments in order to achieve the perfect beach body.
