Older travellers 'should prepare for trips'

Older travellers are much more likely to have a better and more fulfilling holiday experience they can make cheap international calls about if they take careful precautions, one expert has said.
The advice from author and psychologist Dr David Lewis to older people travelling to countries off the beaten track such as the Philippines or the UAE suggested they prepare for their trip by doing plenty of research.
He said this can be achieved by going online and talking to people who have visited the location before so travellers generally know their way around before they arrive.
Alternatively, he said: "A lot of people now are going on conducted tours, so they have got somebody who knows the country, the language and their way around and gives them a sense of security."
This comes after research from Leger Holidays found that mature travellers are the most adventurous with more than 4.6 million UK pensioners journeying to exotic locations.
