Dubai property buyers get 'fantastic deals'

More cheap international calls could be made to and from the UAE in the coming months, as one expert has claimed Dubai property buyers are enjoying "fantastic deals".
Paul Collins, editor at BuyAssociation, said that people looking for property in Dubai for their own use have a variety of great deals to choose from - particularly on new projects.
However, he admitted that the buy-to-let side of the market is experiencing some problems.
"The rental market dropped hugely a couple of years ago, so there are a lot of people who were relying on rental income to pay the mortgage on the properties and have not been able to do it, so that side of things is difficult," explained the expert.
This follows research from Cluttons which revealed that residential rates in Dubai have continued to fall in the second quarter of 2011, although the rate of decline slowed significantly.
