Nigeria became the second African nation to exit the Fifa Football World Cup 2010, close on the heels of the host nation South Africa.
The Super Eagles faced the challenge from South Korea head on and treated audiences to a 2-2 draw.
Nigerian footballers started the match on a high note after Kalu Uche scored the first goal of the game at 12 minutes.
Nigeria's failure to gain lead over the Asians is largely being blamed on the inability of Yakuba Ayegbeni to score a goal despite an unprotected Korean net. This was followed by Obafemi Martins wasting another opportunity to secure a goal and a win.
On the South Korean side, the players made an effective use of free kicks that were granted to them.
Lee Jung-Soo's goal on 38 minutes brought Korea up to par with the Super Eagles, followed by Park Chu-Young capitalising on another free kick on 49 minutes.
