Pakistan looks to cricketers to 'bring good news'

In the aftermath of the devastating floods that wreaked havoc in Pakistan, causing huge losses of life as well as property, the country is looking towards sports to usher in good news of a win.
Pakistan's fan base in the UK is hoping their national team will give them reason to make cheap international calls to family and friends back home.
Speaking to the Guardian, captain of the Pakistani cricket team Salman Butt said: "In these dark days for Pakistan, cricket can lift spirits."
On the other side of the pitch, England's captain Andrew Strauss is hoping to use the last two matches against Pakistan to help his bowlers train for the upcoming Ashes tournament.
England is hoping that the tomorrow's (August 18th) match at the Oval will seal the deal with a victory which would see it clinching the record of winning eight consecutive wins.
