Many young people who are returning for a new college term in the Philippines are sporting the latest fashion trends, it is reported.
At colleges where a uniform is not mandatory, kids often use fashion as an outlet for self-expression, according to an article by Camille Santiago in the Philippines edition of Cosmopolitan.
Writing for the fashion magazine's website, she explained: "During breaks, hallways become some sort of fashion runway, where female students strut with poise in their most fab outfits."
Young female fashionistas in the colleges of the Philippines are wearing everything from the latest laidback threads to high-end catwalk-style creations, she added.
Cosmopolitan claims to be the best-selling magazine not only in the Philippines but right across the world, with 58 international editions sold in over 100 countries.
