International calls: Business travel set for 'upturn'

There are "definite signs" of an upturn in the business travel market, according to an expert.
"Everyone is cautiously optimistic," said Gill Upton, editor of the Business Travel Magazine.
"But travel behaviour has now changed and patterns are for fewer longer trips and a strive for value via more advance bookings," she commented.
And it would appear that businesses are making more use of cheap international calls and other technological advances, with Ms Upton stating that web or telephone-based conferencing is on the up.
VisitBritain expects there to be an increase in the number of international visitors to Britain over the coming months.
The tourism body predicts a rise of 0.8 per cent in the volume of inbound tourism to 30.4 million in 2010, with inbound visitor spending set to increase by almost four per cent to £17.1 billion.
