Are flights to Dubai under threat?

Concerns have been raised about terrorist intentions to target flights to Dubai, UAE, as two men were detained in suspicious circumstances.
Passengers on the United flight 908, which flew from Chicago O'Hare airport to Amsterdam, no doubt reached for their mobile phones to make cheap international calls as they witnessed airport marshals detaining two men suspected of possible terrorist activities.
The two men of Yemini origin who were escorted off the flight as it landed on Dutch soil have been identified as Hezam al Murisi and Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi.
US authorities went on high alert after suspicious items were discovered in al Soofi's checked in baggage. Fears of a terrorist "dry run" were further fuelled when it was discovered that the men had changed travel plans and were originally bound for Dubai.
However, this speculation was soon ended as the men confirmed that they had missed their earlier flight connection from Chicago and had coincidentally been booked onto the same flight to Amsterdam.
