Bangladesh cricket team target Asian Games gold

Bangladesh is set to meet Sri Lanka in the Asian Games cricket tournament today (November 25th), following a resounding victory over Malaysia in the quarter finals.
However, the team's victory failed to reflect inconsistency during their first innings, although there is growing confidence among the squad that they may be able to take gold.
Speaking to the Times of India, captain Mohammad Ashraful explained: "Our opening batsmen batted well but then we didn't bat well in the middle order."
Ashraful underlined the need for improvement in the upcoming semi-final.
"Sri Lanka are a very good side but if we play our best cricket I think anything can happen because we are are a very young side," he added.
The Bangladesh women's team already made it through to the final of the tournament, but had to make do with runner-up medals after their defeat to Pakistan, no doubt prompting commiseratory cheap calls to family at home.
