Controversial Polish politician Andrzej Lepper found dead in Warsaw

The death of Poland's former deputy prime minister, Andrzej Lepper, has no doubt sparked international calls to Poland to friends and family in the country, interested in finding out further details.
Dogged with scandal and apparently devastated by the diagnosis of his son with a serious illness, Mr Lepper rose from his roots as a pig farmer to become one of the country's most popular politicians.
His 20-year political career saw him speak out against the European Union, take up office as minister of agriculture and run for president on four separate occasions.
Mr Lepper, who was 57 and former leader of the Self-Defence Party, was found dead on Friday at his Warsaw office.
His career came to an abrupt end over the last few years, after he was accused of a number of crimes, including corruption and bribery.
Police have refused to comment on the cause of death, but a number of reports indicate that Mr Lepper was found hanged, with many claiming that he committed suicide.
