Saudi Arabia arrests footballer with Christ tattoo

Religious police in Saudi Arabia have arrested a foreign footballer after he showed Christian tattoos on his arm.
Cheap international calls are likely to be made over the arrest of Juan Pablo Pino, a young Al Nasr club player, who was detained while shopping with his pregnant wife in Riyadh.
Pino was wearing a sleeveless t-shirt which exposed a tattoo of Jesus on his arm and other religious insignia when he was stopped by the so-called 'police for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice'.
According to local newspapers the couple were take then taken to a police station and club representatives were contacted.
Al Nasr released a statement afterwards, which it attributed to the player.
It read: "These tattoos have negative effects on the Saudi youth ... all foreign players in the kingdom need to abide by the rules and cover their tattoos during matches."
