UAE setting for new Brit romance film

British film executives are likely to be making an increasing number of international calls to the UAE, as they prepare to shoot a major new film in the country.
So far, details of the movie are thin on the ground, although The National reported it will be a romance and will feature big name actors from both the UK and the USA.
Wiqar Ali Khan, an actor in the as yet unnamed film, told the news provider the film will be shot in Britain, the UAE and India, and is based on real life events.
"The story is a love triangle of three people and has a twist. What we can tell you is it is set over three continents and has mainstream appeal. It will also feature big celebrities," he added.
Mr Kahn added that all the filming locations have been chosen and the crew are due to begin shooting in June.
The UAE film scene also received a boost earlier this year when it was announced shorts produced by local filmmakers would be screened as part of the British Film Councils UK Film Season in Dubai.
