Polish court fines singer for blasphemy

Cheap calls to Poland could be likely after a national court slapped a fine on a popular singer for bad-mouthing the Bible.
Dorota Rabczewska, who uses the stage name Doda, is well known in the country for being outspoken and said in a 2009 interview that she doubted the existence of the religious book.
When explaining why, Doda said "because it's hard to believe in something that was written by someone drunk on wine and smoking some herbs".
A Warsaw court on Monday January 16th ordered the singer to pay a fine of $1,450 (£944) for offending religious feelings with her misjudged remark.
This recent case comes after death metal performer Adam Darski, who once dated Doda, tore up a Bible on stage, but was let off after describing the act as artistic expression.
